Revisiting the 4th Annual ISTAT Latin American Forum in Lima
Continuing to build on momentum established in the event’s first three years, ISTAT members gathered in Lima, Perú, for the ISTAT Latin America Forum on 14-15 November, which marked the event’s first trip to Perú.
At the conference, representatives from key regional airlines, appraisers, financiers and manufacturers enjoyed keynote presentations from:
- Eduardo Fairen, Chief Executive Officer, Viva Air Perú;
- John Rodgerson, Chief Executive Officer, Azul S.A. and;
- John Slattery, President and Chief Executive Officer, Embraer.
The event also was packed with panel discussions centering on industry issues specific to the Latin American market and numerous networking opportunities.

ISTAT Holiday Receptions Close Out Another Great Year
A record number of ISTAT members across the globe celebrated a successful 2018 together at the ISTAT Holiday Receptions on 5 December. Held in seven locations across the globe — Dublin, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Shanghai and Tokyo — more than 2,200 members and guests gathered to reconnect with their peers and create new relationships with industry newcomers. This attendance figure is significant in that it represents the largest collective event in ISTAT's history.

ISTAT Americas Registration Open!
Registration for ISTAT Americas – to be held 10-12 March 2019 at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes – is now open! ISTAT Americas will feature keynote presentations and panel discussions with industry leaders, in addition to networking events designed to provide opportunities to grow business and forge new relationships.

ISTAT 2019 Board of Directors Nominations
The Nominations Committee is accepting nominations for positions that will become available on the ISTAT Board of Directors in March 2019. The Nominating Committee will consider individuals that have been members of ISTAT in good standing for at least the past two years, and who have been strong business partners within the ISTAT community. Members who have attended conferences and functions, volunteered on various committees and/or participated as planners or speakers at ISTAT events are preferred candidates. Please enumerate your qualifications/accomplishments as part of your letter of intent.
Nominees will be presented to the ISTAT membership via email in February of 2019 and will be voted upon via an electronic process prior to and during the 36th Annual ISTAT Conference, 10-12 March 2019 at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes. The official voting period will be provided at a later date.
Four (4) nominees will be elected to the board and will serve from March 2019 until March 2023.
Biographical sketches of the nominees should be submitted to ISTAT along with your letter of intent to run for a director position. Please enumerate your qualifications/accomplishments as part of your letter of intent, which must not exceed one (1) page in length. Submissions must be sent via email to istat@istat.org by 4 January 2019.

In 2018, the ISTAT Foundation Internship Program placed a record 17 aviation-focused university students in positions at ISTAT member companies. The ISTAT Foundation’s Internship Program acts as an intermediary between ISTAT member companies and students seeking aviation internships. Through the use of a web portal, qualified students and employers are able to match the right skills, background and interests with corporate internships. Placed interns who qualify will receive a stipend from the Foundation to cover qualified housing and travel expenses of up to $2,500. Click here to learn more.

The winter issue of Jetrader is available and has been arriving in mailboxes throughout this month. Filled with timely and educational content, this issue's cover story offers a recap of the 2018 edition of ISTAT EMEA in Prague.
