Mr. and Mrs. C. Jeffrey Knittel Donate $100,000 to
ISTAT Foundation
CHICAGO (21 June, 2018) - The lSTAT Foundation is pleased to announce that Mr. and Mrs. C. Jeffrey Knittel have donated $100,000 to the Foundation. Mr. Knittel announced the donation during the President's Gala Dinner at the ISTAT Americas event in San Diego on 6 March.
The ISTAT Foundation is a driving force in evolving the future of commercial aviation through its five core programs: scholarships, internships, grants, humanitarian aid and ISTAT University. The Knittels' donation will support the vast array of services that the Foundation's five programs provide.
Mr. Knittel was recently named the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Americas, Inc. and a member of the Airbus Executive Committee. He was also the 2018 ISTAT Award recipient. During his award acceptance, Knittel noted "I attribute any success that I've had to the influence and support of the people around me. I can say sincerely that --- without the people who make up ISTAT --- I probably would not have accomplished what I have in my career. This organization makes a difference. It certainly has made a positive difference in my life."
